Bobbie Darbyshire is a writer with several published books to her credit. She won the 2008 fiction prize at the National Academy of Writing and the New Delta Review Creative Nonfiction Prize 2010.

In her humorous talk, she will explain the complex world of character, location, plot and subplot which arrives in a writer's mind, no doubt drawing on her varied working life as a barmaid, a care assistant, a social researcher and a private secretary to a cabinet minister. 

This talk sounds like a must for anyone thinking of joining the Ashtead u3a Creative Writing group!
