Paul Barwick is a retired police officer with 34 years of service and a background in national security. He worked with partner agencies for many years in the field of counter-terrorism. His series of visual presentations arises from his interest and experience of the world of real-life espionage. Each talk focuses on either an infamous incident in British Espionage history or a fascinating and inspirational character. After police retirement, Paul set up a company focused on international espionage history. He offers guided tours in London to incident locations and lesser known haunts.
Eddie Chapman was a career criminal. He progressed through the ranks of the underworld to become one of Scotland Yard‘s most wanted individuals. For complex reasons, he became a spy for the Third Reich, code name Fritz. He trained in spy-craft techniques and was parachuted back into Britain. He became a double agent working for British Intelligence. He was handsome, well liked, well mannered and eminently likeable.
